After taking Zac back to his hotel, Kaitlyn finally went home. The minute she
walked in the door, she saw a mess of clothes on the living room floor. She
heard what sounded like moaning and groaning coming from upstairs, and she knew
then that her sister Miranda had brought home another man. It just wasn't
Britney's style. Picking up the clothes, she ran up the stairs and slammed her
fist on the bedroom door. " Britney, I have had more than enough of this. This
guy of your's is going home right now!" She screamed at her. The moaning and
groaning didn't stop. If anything it got louder. It was as if her sister didn't
care she was right at the door.
Britney came home and heard the racket. She came running up the stairs and
instead of slamming her fist on the door like her, she slammed the door on open.
Pulling the guy off their sister, she threw him against the wall. " Go
downstairs, grab your clothes, and get the hell out of here. You are not welcome
in this house again."
" Britney, you can't treat my guest like this. He is..."
" I am so sick of these games, Miranda! I have had enough! It is time you
act like a grown up and stop throwing yourself at every man!" Britney screamed
at her. " Now your guest is leaving and we are going to have a talk about this!"
The guy Miranda had brought home ran out of the room, and did as he was told.
Kaitlyn made sure of it. She could hear Britney's continued screaming at their
sister, and the next thing she knew, she heard a crash. Running up the stairs,
she saw Miranda attacking Britney full on. She was on top of her and punching
her in the face. " Miranda, stop it!" She screamed, and tried to pull her off of
Britney. She was pushed back and fell into the nightstand, her head barely
missing the corner of the stand. It took her a couple minutes to regain herself
before she could stand herself up and try once again to pull Miranda off of
Britney. " That is enough! Stop it!" She finally found it in her to pull her
off, and she held her back so that Britney could pull herself up off the
floor.
Britney's face was full of blood. Her nose was dripping with it, and she had
a black eye as well. " That is it. I am done with you, Miranda. I am out of
here." She walked out of the room to go clean herself off, and left them to
wonder what exactly that meant.
Kaitlyn closed the door behind her and gave Miranda a look. " This has
seriously got to stop. I... I am so tired of your attitude and your actions,
Miranda. It is just getting so old." She went to the closet, and picked out a
purple sleeveless summer dress. She tossed it at her sister. " Get dressed. I am
going to check on our sister."

Zac had asked for Kaitlyn to stop back at Starbucks on the way back to the
hotel, so he could pick up a little snack for his wife. He had gotten her a
slice of marble pound cake, and also had gotten her a cup of cinnamon dolce
coffee to go with it. When he made it back, he woke her up by kissing her gently
on the lips.
Slowly opening up her eyes, she smiled and reached out for a hug. He set the
coffee and snack down and put his arms around her. She kissed his cheek. " Hello
handsome. What have you been up to?" She asked.
" I went for a walk, and actually ran into Kaitlyn at Starbucks. She took me
sightseeing for a bit." He told her. " She drove to this place called Sunrise
Side Wine & Hops Trail."
" Wow. That's kind of cool." She saw the coffee and the snack. " Is that for
me?"
" Yeah. I picked up some decaf coffee for you and a little snack. I thought
you might like that." He said, and handed it to her.
With a smile, and opened up the bag with her snack and took out the slice of
pound cake. She began to eat it slowly. " So I'm guessing you basically tried
some wine and beer out with her?"
" Yeah. She says she likes to go there occasionally when she can. She had a
long day. Her sister's and her had a fight this morning before work. I think she
thought the alcohol would help loosen her up a bit." He stroked a hair out of
his wife's face. " To be honest, I think she is going through more than we
thought."
Kate looked at him thoughtfully. " Did she tell you much of anything?"
" Just that things with her sister's were getting pretty tense. They've been
fighting a lot more lately and it's gotten to the point where she can hardly
handle it." He shrugged his shoulders. " Mostly we talked about art. It turns
out she is an art teacher hoping to be an actual artist one day. She uses her
basement as an art studio."
" That's pretty awesome." She sipped on her coffee, and took another bite of
pound cake. " I don't suppose you got her number? I should have gotten it from
her myself. She does have my number, but..."
" Yeah. We actually did exchange numbers when she dropped me off." He took his
cell phone out so that Kate could get the number off it.
She programmed the number into her phone and told him she was going to give
Kaitlyn a call. With a nod, he walked out of the room to go find his
brothers.

Kaitlyn stood in the doorway of Britney's room, watching her older sister
pack up a suitcase. She was trying to talk her out of leaving, but having no
luck. Britney insisted she just couldn't continue living with Miranda anymore,
or she would end up losing her mind. " You can't just leave us, Britney. I... I
can't take care of Miranda by myself." Tears formed in her eyes at the thought
of Britney leaving. " Please don't do this." She begged.
" Did you see what she just did to me? She beat the hell out of me, sis!" She
exclaimed. " I'm not doing this anymore. I just am not! You are going to have to
figure something out, because I am out of here. I can't stay with her another
minute." Britney closed up her suitcase, and pushed past Kaitlyn with it in her
hands. " Sell the house or whatever. I am out of here."
" Britney, you... you can't leave me here with her! I can't do this without
you!" Kaitlyn cried, chasing after her. She made a grab for her, but Britney
dodged her.
" Sorry Kaitlyn. I can't do this anymore." Britney walked out the front door,
leaving Kaitlyn and Miranda behind.
Kaitlyn stood there screaming at her to come back, but she just threw her
suitcase into the trunk and got in. Chasing after the car as she drove off,
Kaitlyn broke down. She gave up running after a few moments, and fell to her
knees. She sobbed into her hands, tears streaming down her face.
Miranda came outside to see her sister in the middle of a breakdown. She came
up behind her and wrapped her arms around her. Giving her a big hug, she kissed
Kaitlyn on the cheek. Tears ran down her own face as she realized what had
happened. She had driven Britney away, breaking up the only family she had.
"I'm... I'm sorry, Kaitlyn. I never meant to..."
" Just leave me alone." Kaitlyn pushed her away, and made her way to her
feet. " I'm going for a walk. Don't follow me." Walking away, her cell phone
rang. She looked to see a number she didn't recognize. Not bothering to answer
it, she went right on walking.

Zac and Kate had been trying to get a hold of Kaitlyn the last couple hours,
and had no luck. Both were worried about her, and as they decided to go looking
for her, Taylor watched over Junia and Shepherd. They looked up her address and
drove to the house. Miranda opened the door in shock to see Zac Hanson at the
door. He asked to see Kaitlyn, and she told him that Kaitlyn had gone for a walk
what seemed like hours ago, and she hadn't heard from her since. Desperate to
find her then, he asked if she could take him around town and look in the usual
spots for her.
Miranda grabbed her purse and took the keys to Kaitlyn's car. She gave Kate
some idea's where to go look, and drove around town herself with Zac. He was
panicked now. In just a matter of hours he had to leave for his tour to
continue, but he couldn't even concentrate on that now. He listened to Miranda's
story of what happened between the three of them as they looked, and he grew
angry at her for her actions as well. It was because of her actions that Kaitlyn
was missing.
They finally found her at a secluded spot by the lake, where she loved to go
when she just wanted to be alone. Zac ran up to her when he saw her, and she
looked up at him with tears in her eyes. He took her into her arms, and gave her
a big hug. " It's okay, Kaitlyn. I promise. I'm going to take care of you."
She sobbed into his shoulder. " How... how did you find me?" She asked.
" Miranda took me around town. Me and Kate looked up your address, and
Miranda told us you never came back from your walk. We were worried when we
couldn't get a hold of you." He told her.
Miranda stood a few feet back, watching her sister hold onto Zac tightly for
comfort. Tears came to her own eyes. She felt bad as she saw her sister break
down once again.
Kaitlyn looked behind her, and saw Miranda watching them. " You drove my
car?" She asked angrily.
" Hey, don't get mad at her. I asked her to, okay. It's my fault. Blame me."
Zac said, wiping away her tears. " Now come on. I'm going to bring you home to
pack up some stuff. Miranda is going to pack some things too, and your coming on
the road with me and my brothers. Your students can live without you, they have
other teachers who can take over until you get back."
With a nod, she followed Zac to the car and he got in the drivers seat.
Miranda sat in back, not saying anything.
